Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to the Acts of Kindness (AOK) website. By using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our site or participating in programs.

Our programs, such as Nightshift, Kindness Hub and Single Mom’s Oil Change and others are designed to support families in need within Langley, BC. We rely on volunteers, donors, partners, and participants to fulfill our mission of kindness and community upliftment.​​

Eligibility & Participation

  • Services are intended for individuals who meet specific program criteria (e.g., single-parent households, low-income families).
     

  • Participants may be required to provide documentation or referrals to confirm eligibility.
     

  • Volunteers and supporters must follow the organization's code of conduct and safety protocols.

Donation & Volunteer Terms 

  • Monetary and in-kind donations are voluntary and may be tax-deductible (where applicable).
     

  • Funds and donations are used to continue serving the community of Langley and the Lower Mainland
     

  • Volunteers agree to conduct themselves professionally and safely while representing the organization.

Intellectual Property 

  • All content logos, images, text, and program materials—is owned by Acts of Kindness (AOK) and protected by copyright.
     

  • You may share or cite content only with proper attribution and for non-commercial, nonprofit purposes.

Privacy & Data Use

  • Your personal information (such as contact details, eligibility documents, or donation data) is collected in line with our Privacy Policy. 
     

  • We commit to protecting your data and will never sell or misuse your personal information.

Limitations and Liability

Dispute Resolution 

Any disputes arising from these terms or services will be governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and resolved through negotiation or, if necessary, local dispute resolution processes.

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our site or programs implies acceptance of the revised terms.
