A summer job with Acts of Kindness is a terrific way to learn business skills, community development, partner with a mentor, build your network, and get real-world experience before graduation.
Summer jobs are a great way for one person — like you — to connect with the countless opportunities that will allow you to experience different areas of charitable work.

You’ll spend the summer working in areas such as: Grant Writing, Capacity Building, Organizational Planning, Community Support, Marketing & Communication and more.
Who can apply?
• Aged 15 to 30.
• A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been granted.
• You are legally entitled to work within the province of British Columbia.
THE CONNECTOR – (AOK Ministry Assistant) You will be responsible for different AOK
events and  will communicate with the AOK volunteer directors, volunteers, and community members on behalf of AOK.
THE FUNDRAISER – (AOK Grant Writing Assistant) You will assist the AOK Coordinator  by seeking out and writing proposals for funding opportunities for Acts of Kindness and it’s community programs.
THE COMMUNITY SUPPORTER – (AOK Social Work Intern) You will assist in establishing a mental wellness program for families in need of individual & family therapy within Aldergrove and Langley.
THE CAPACITY BUILDER – (AOK Intern/Assistant) You will assist the team in planning, organizing, and running Acts of Kindness events and programs for the Community.
THE STRUCTURE & CAPACITY BUILDER – (AOK Marketing & Graphic Design SpecialistYou will be responsible for: creating templates, brochures, flyers, posters, setting up Facebook events and marketing events through social media, sending emails about Acts of Kindness events, and properly communicating our mission to the community.
